Tribunal legal members appointed

The Scottish Ministers have appointed 29 legal members to the First-tier Tribunal for Scotland, and a further legal member to the Upper Tribunal for Scotland.

Ministers made their recommendations for appointment on the basis of a report by the Judicial Appointments Board for Scotland.

The Judicial Appointments Board for Scotland is an independent advisory public body with the role of recommending individuals for appointment to judicial offices within the Board’s remit.

The new legal members will take up their appointments from 01 September 2025. A full list of the appointees can be found below:
