Judicial Attitude Survey published

Feb 25, 2021

The Judicial Office has today published the Judicial Attitude Survey Scotland (JAS) 2020.

The web-based survey, issued to all serving salaried judges in the UK, was conducted for Scotland by the Judicial Institute of University College London on behalf of the Lord President, Lord Carloway.

The aim of the survey was to assess the attitudes of judges in key employment and management areas including the experience of being a judge, morale, working conditions, remuneration, training, and personal development.

This is the third running of the JAS, with earlier surveys carried out in 2016 and 2014.
